5 ways general practice has changed over the past 10 years

General practice has changed over the past decade, according to researchers from the University of Sydney's BEACH program.

After comparing data from 2005-6 with 2014-15, they say these are the main changes:

More women

The proportion of female GPs has increased over the past decade (from 37.2% to 42.7%).

An older workforce

The proportion aged 55 or more has increased (from 38.7% to 45.3%), while the proportion younger than 45 years has not changed significantly.
