AMA vice president opens up about stress and grief

AMA vice president Dr Stephen Parniss has opened up about personal experiences of stress and grief in a plea for fellow doctors to take better care of themselves and each other.

Dr Parniss says the profession owes a debt to the courage of its younger members who are driving increased awareness of doctors’ health issues, including recent revelations of bullying and harassment by senior surgeons.
