GP didn’t call ambulance to avoid embarrassment

A MELBOURNE GP has explained he failed to order an ambulance for a patient after a suspected overdose because he didn’t want to embarrass her family. 

Dr Uday Dixit, 62, has been reprimanded for professional misconduct over the death of  a long-standing patient and family friend.
