Technology may be about to transform dermatology
Whenever people talk about technology changing medicine, one field seems to come up most frequently — dermatology.
Patients are already signing up for teledermatological assessments, taking photographs of their spots, lumps and bumps and sending them electronically to a dermatologist.
However, an editorial in this month’s Medical Journal of Australia says a total technological transformation is on the way for melanoma management.
It’ll be the biggest thing for Australian skin since the ‘Slip, Slop, Slap!’ campaign.
