Video game teaches children stroke awareness

It’s not Grand Theft Auto, but doctors are  giving the thumbs up to a new video game that encourages children to go on a virtual shooting rampage – to destroy blood clots and prevent strokes.

In a bid to improve awareness of stroke symptoms among children, neurologists in the US have  developed a video game called Stroke Hero in which participants travel through blood vessels in a clot-busting spaceship shooting down clots that occlude the artery. Set to hip hop music with stroke educational lyrics, the game also requires players to dodge atherosclerotic plaques on the arterial wall.

In a
