Euthanasia: learning from the Netherlands

Fifteen years after doctor-assisting dying was legalised in the Netherlands, just 4.5% of all deaths in the country are physician-assisted, says medicolegal expert Dr Sara Bird.

The vast majority of these deaths are performed by GPs.
