The Bond University Medical Program, within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, comprises two sequential degrees: the Bachelor of Medical Studies and the Doctor of Medicine. Fully accredited by the Australian Medical Council, the program places strong emphasis on delivering an exceptional student experience.

Multiple academic positions are available, ranging from Senior Teaching Fellow to Assistant Professor (Level A or B), depending on qualifications and experience, across the following areas:

Bachelor of Medical Studies – Clinical Practice Academic Opportunities:

  • Assistant Professor (A or B) and Senior Teaching Fellow, Clinical Practice (Full Time and Part Time). Delivering a range of clinical skills and case-based teaching across Years 1–3 of the program.  Applications are invited from Medical Practitioners, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, and Educators.

Doctor of Medicine – General Practice and Advanced Clinical Skills Academic Opportunities:

  • Assistant Professor (A or B) General Practice (Part Time, up to 0.5 FTE) open to registered Medical Specialist General Practitioners.
  • Assistant Professor (A or B) Advanced Clinical Skills (Part Time, up to 0.5 FTE) open to AHPRA Registered Medical Practitioners.

Successful candidates will contribute to curriculum development and, where applicable, provide service and leadership within the Medical Program. Candidates will hold relevant qualifications and bring a strong background in medical education and/or clinical practice.

All roles require strong professional expertise and the ability to balance clinical responsibilities with educational leadership.

About the person

Applicants should have a record of delivering high-quality, evidence-based teaching in practical and clinical skills within university or clinical settings. We’re looking for individuals with effective teaching and academic administration experience in medical or health-related fields, suited to the scope of each role.

Salary details

Multiple roles (full-time or part-time): The full-time equivalent salary for these positions is detailed below. Salary packaging options are available for eligible employees. A clinical loading may also be applied as appropriate.

  • Assistant Professor A remuneration commences at $160,204.81 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
  • Assistant Professor B remuneration commences at $134,792.41 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
  • Senior Teaching Fellow remuneration commences at $ 108,052.53 per annum plus 12% superannuation.

The Selection Panel will make the determination for the level of appointments based on skills, qualifications and experience.
