VR General Practitioner – Private Billing | Wavell Heights, Brisbane

Nundah Doctors Surgery Wavell Heights (NDSWH) is seeking two unrestricted VR General Practitioners to join our established, doctor-owned private practice.

With more than 30 years of history in the local community, a strong existing patient base and an experienced clinical and administrative team, NDSWH offers an excellent opportunity for GPs looking for a long-term position with strong earning potential, genuine flexibility and an established patient load from commencement.

What we offer

• 70% of billings in an established private billing practice
• Guaranteed minimum of $180 per hour + GST for the first 3 months, or 70% of billings – whichever is higher
• If the minimum guarantee is still being utilised at three months, we are happy to extend it for a further three months
• Indicative earnings of approximately $322 per hour after the practice deduction, dependent on billing mix, consultation patterns and patient volume
• Access to approximately 7,800 active patients
• Flexibility to structure your days, start times and finish times
• Ideally 4–5 days per week
• No weekend requirement

An established patient base from day one

NDSWH has approximately 7,800 active patients across a broad range of demographics.

Our incoming GPs will be able to provide ongoing care to our established patient population rather than being expected to build a patient base entirely from scratch.

Doctors with their own established patient following are also strongly encouraged to bring their patients with them.

Excellent clinical and administrative support

You will be joining an established team of four experienced doctors, supported by an experienced reception team and a practice nurse available every day.

Our facilities include a fully equipped three-bed treatment room, ECG and audiometry facilities, on-site QML Pathology and Best Practice clinical software.

Our reception and nursing teams provide the support required to allow our doctors to concentrate on what matters most — providing excellent patient care.

Genuine flexibility

We understand that experienced GPs value control over their working arrangements.

While we are ideally seeking doctors who wish to work 4–5 days per week, there is flexibility around individual working days and start and finish times.

Our current opening hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm Monday to Wednesday and 7:30 am–5:00 pm Thursday and Friday.

Our Wavell Heights practice offers modern facilities, an established clinical infrastructure and a welcoming team environment. Incoming doctors will have their own fully furnished consulting room, required consulting technology and allocated car park.

About you

We are looking for VR GPs who hold full AHPRA registration and have unrestricted Medicare provider number eligibility.

You should be comfortable working with approximately 15-minute appointment intervals, providing continuity of care to our existing patients and becoming a long-term member of the practice.
