Ahh, that old chestnut: Aussie docs crack case

This is a classic example of biting off more than you can chew — or at least more than this patient could chew without his dentures.
After misplacing his false teeth, the 61-year-old man decided to snack on chestnuts, of all things, when he suddenly experienced abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, and presented to the ED.
He had a history of type 2 diabetes, ischaemic heart disease, hypercholesterolaemia and hypertension.
When his symptoms did not improve with pain relief, an abdominal CT was performed, showing a possible small bowel obstruction.
