Casualty of wear: Soldier impaled by dress uniform

Neurosurgeons in Saudi Arabia have issued a call to arms over the safety of military dress uniforms after a soldier was left with the metallic badge from his hat embedded in his skull.
The 23-year-old presented to ED with the metal object lodged in the left side of his forehead following a physical altercation at work.
He reported localised pain from blunt-force trauma to the head but denied loss of consciousness, vomiting or seizures, according to the case report in Cureus.
On examination, doctors noted no active bleeding, no CSF leak from the nose and intact cranial nerve function.
