Doctors missed something when they patched up this teen’s face

He had an object 'the shape of a knife blade' in his cheek for a month without realising

This case brings a whole new meaning the phrase ‘glass jaw’.

After fainting and colliding face first into a window, a Spanish teen was patched up at a hospital and sent on his way.

However, four weeks later, he presented to another ED complaining of pain on chewing and trouble opening his mouth for the previous month.

An X-ray and CT revealed a 3.5cm rectangular object, “which had the shape of a knife blade”, hidden behind his left cheekbone.
