Medical Must-See: Patient’s scrotal swelling starts to weigh on him

The palpable swelling appeared 'like a third testicle sitting between normal testicles', his doctors wrote.

After two decades, this 56-year-old’s painless scrotal swelling really started weighing on him.

The patient told urologists that the swelling had been slowly growing for 20 years, yet he had no history of trauma, fever, urinary complaints or systemic symptoms.

Physical examination revealed a firm, irregular, non-tender swelling, approximately 4cm x 5cm in diameter, palpable within the scrotal wall.

It appeared “like a third testicle sitting between normal testicles”, the Pakistani doctors wrote in Urology Case Reports.
