In the American Journal of Case Reports, the first-ever orthopaedic complication associated with SARS-CoV-2 infection has been documented in an elderly man.

The 86-year-old patient presented with severe right-sided neck pain and decreased range of motion over the previous six months, starting just after a mild case of COVID-19.

He had no history of trauma, pre-existing bone disease, congenital disease, rheumatoid arthritis or any other autoimmune disease.
