In an attempt to overcome erectile dysfunction, a couple inadvertently deployed weatherproofing spray into a man’s penis, up the entirety of his urethra and into his bladder â€” resulting in a rapid expansion of a different kind.

The 45-year-old presented to ED experiencing difficulty urinating, dysuria, gross haematuria and urinary retention after inserting various objects into his urethra for sexual gratification.

He reported that, three weeks earlier, his partner had placed a straw attached to a can of expanding spray foam into his urethra and accidentally pressed the button, shooting its contents into the man’s urinary tract.

A CT of the abdomen and pelvis showed a foreign material in the non-dependent bladder, measuring 10.7cm×4.3cm×6cm, with an additional 16mm-wide material filling the penis.
