In an almost literal use of snake oil, a man injected his penis with engine lubricant in the hopes of augmenting his genitals, leading to a decade long growth on the shaft and a very colourful case.

The 62-year-old was hospitalised with a potential penile tumour that had been present for 10 years. He had sexual dysfunction but was otherwise asymptomatic and denied any local procedures.

MRI revealed that the tumorous mass was limited to the dermal and hypodermal tissues and did not compromise the Buck’s fascia.
