Woman contracts medieval disease from migraine medication

After starting a new treatment for headaches, a young woman developed a disease more at home in the Middle Ages than modern day.
Although, it is 2020; stranger things have happened.
The 24-year-old had started taking ergotamine twice daily to treat her migraines when she began experiencing a severe burning sensation in her legs.
She presented to an outpatient clinic in India, reporting the pain as extending from the toes to the mid-thigh, with discoloration of the feet and difficulty walking.
