Eye with incisions

When the slit lamp hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s a… radial keratotomy.

And while it doesn’t have quite the same ring to it, this woman’s corneas do have some interesting slices — thanks to a now-outdated surgical procedure.

The 41-year-old presented to an eye clinic complaining of worsening vision over the past two decades, only for a slit-lamp examination to reveal these odd incisions.

Ophthalmologists noted 16 cuts extending peripherally, with a clear central cornea.
