Patients are the most common offenders, with GPs among the specialties at highest risk

One in five UK doctors have been sexually harassed at work, with experiences ranging from patients asking for a date to colleagues groping them, a survey shows.

Patients were the most common offenders, but doctors reported being harassed by staff members too, in the online survey of more than 1300 doctors across the UK.

Overall, 17% of doctors had been sexually harassed by a patient, 3% had been harassed by a colleague and 4% had witnessed sexual harassment in the workplace, in the poll conducted
