175 Qld pharmacists sign up for prescribing training
Participants must complete 120 hours of real-world practice under the supervision of a medical doctor.
Pharmacists have rushed to join Queensland’s pharmacy prescribing course, with enough pharmacists applying to the state health department to completely book out the first training intake within a week.
Last week Australian Doctor revealed the training pharmacists would undergo to participate in the North Queensland pharmacy trial, where they will diagnose and treat 17 conditions independently and prescribe under protocol for another five conditions.
