$552,000 vs $30,000: How much are doctors in other countries earning?

Research into the earning power of doctors around the world is frequently vexed — and usually the headline figures need to be treated with caution.
A new international survey covering 11 countries shows unsurprisingly that doctors in the US — home to the most expensive health system in the world — top the league.
Conducted by Medscape, it found average full-time doctors earned the equivalent of $552,000 (AUD) in salary.
Next comes Canada ($428,000), then Germany ($251,000) and then doctors in the UK ($191,000).
