6 tips for GPs on cutting their carbon footprint – from a GP

At Dr Richard Yin’s Perth general practice, patients not only visit for appointments, but can also drop off their compost and help themselves to goods from the vegetable patch.
It’s all part of the Onslow Road Family Practice’s efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of the clinic.
On Thursday, Dr Yin was among a group of doctors urging the healthcare sector to do the same in a joint statement from the AMA and Doctors for the Environment (DEA).
They groups called on the sector to cut emissions by 80% by the end of the decade, and to net zero by 2040.
