The top health bureaucrat wants “more doing, less reviewing” from Mark Butler, according to a memo released under Freedom of Information laws.

Department of Health, Disability and Ageing Secretary Blair Comley says Health Minister Mark Butler commissioned, consulted on or published more than 70 reviews during the last parliamentary term.

“We have a stock of completed reviews that have consulted widely and include significant recommendations,” Mr Comley said in his Incoming Government Brief, published last week.

“I would suggest that ‘Even more doing, less reviewing’ would be a good mindset for this term.
