9-year-old’s star turn in GP recruitment campaign
Dr Sarah Gleeson cast her son William in her practice's ad for a new GP.
Donning an oversized white coat and stethoscope, William Gleeson turns to the camera and asks: “Are you tired of the humdrum of metro general practice?”
The nine-year-old is the star of a 70-second advertisement to recruit a new GP for Goondiwindi, Queensland, a town of 6500 people on the NSW border.
His GP mum Dr Sarah Gleeson helped produce the video in just three weeks, while William’s part was filmed within a day.
“I gave him the script just a night before!” Dr Gleeson tells 6minutes.
