201 complaints to AHPRA about anti-Semitism or Islamophobia closed without sanctions
About 200 of the 225 complaints since October 2023 accusing health practitioners of anti-Semitism or Islamophobia have been closed with no regulatory action, AHPRA has revealed.
AHPRA CEO Justin Untersteiner told a Senate committee last week that 13 complaints had resulted in regulatory action, including three tribunal referrals.
Eleven complaints remained unresolved, while the rest were closed with no further action, AHPRA confirmed.
Mr Untersteiner would not give more specifics on the cases, including the tribunal referrals.
