A death and dozens of infections believed to be linked to contaminated saline
Products have been recalled from hospitals after the TGA issued an alert following a bacterial outbreak.
A patient’s death in Queensland and more than 40 infections nationally are believed to be linked to contaminated saline products.
The TGA has issued a quarantine notice for saline products which appear to be contaminated with the bacteria ralstonia, normally found in soil and water.
