The ructions tearing out the heart of the RACP usually occur behind closed doors. We sometimes hear the noise — the arguments, the smashing of plates. And we see something of the aftermath in the public declarations.

But capturing the realities of how this plays out day to day within the college is a little harder. It is about relationships going wrong, a complex subject whose truths are perhaps best left to novelists to capture in fiction.

Two weeks ago, AusDoc was sent another leaked college report. It was into the findings of an internal investigation into allegations made by the college’s company secretary against the president, Professor Jennifer Martin.
