AHPRA investigates Bettina Arndt’s ‘clinical psychologist’ title

Men's activist was given Australia Day honour, but is now accused of misrepresenting herself

AHPRA says it is looking into allegations that Australia Day honours recipient and men’s rights campaigner Bettina Arndt has misrepresented herself as a clinical psychologist, despite not being registered.

Ms Arndt was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) on Sunday for service “to the community as a social commentator, and to gender equity through advocacy for men”.

The award was condemned by doctor’s groups, and former Australian of the Year Rosie Batty, who accused her of downplaying the impact of domestic violence and sexual assault on women in media interviews and allegedly shaming victims.
