Notices about historical sexual misconduct findings against 50 doctors have been published on AHPRA’s website under controversial new rules.
Responding to health ministers’ demands, AHPRA has started publishing notices on health practitioners’ public listings if they have been found guilty of professional misconduct involving sexual misconduct since 2010.
It published the first 107 notices this week, although 86 were for doctors or others currently on AHPRA’s register of cancelled health practitioners.
After doctors (50), the biggest practitioner group is nurses/midwives (21), followed by psychologists (seven) and then Chinese medicine practitioners (six).
