Last week, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne was accused of racism.

This was based on its decision last year to triage all Indigenous patients presenting to its ED as category 3 or above.

Critics, including former RACP president Professor John Wilson, claimed it was racist and created an “apartheid situation” that conflicted with medical ethics.
