Another health group quits ‘dangerous’ pharmacy prescribing trial

A key Indigenous health group has quit the expert steering committee tasked with overseeing the Queensland pharmacy prescribing trial, saying it feared for the safety of Indigenous patients.

The RACGP, AMA and ACRRM have already withdrawn its doctors from the committee meant to provide expert input into design, implementation and evaluation of the trial (see box below).
