Asked if he would stake his prime ministership on increasing GP bulk-billing, Anthony Albanese has committed “absolutely”.

Nine political editor Charles Croucher laid down the question during Tuesday night’s debate between Mr Albanese and Opposition leader Peter Dutton.

“Absolutely, we have a plan,” Mr Albanese replied.

“What we have done, with the tripling of bulk-billing incentive for concession card holders, we know worked in lifting the rate for concession card holders.”
