Arbitration hearing for psychiatrists pushed back to June

Psychiatrists will wait another two months at least to see an end to their pay and conditions dispute with the NSW Government.
Arbitration between the psychiatrists and NSW Health was due to conclude on 11 April following an adjournment, having started on 17 March.
But the Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) of NSW scrapped the April court date after the Australian Salaried Medical Officers’ Federation of NSW (ASMOF NSW) defied its orders and led a statewide strike of all public doctors.
When the three-day strike involving 5000 doctors concluded, ASMOF NSW committed to three months of no industrial action.
