Around 100,000 aged care workers yet to receive first COVID-19 vax dose

The 100,000 aged care workers who have yet to receive a single COVID-19 vaccine will be banned from their workplaces unless they receive a first dose in the next four weeks.
The Federal Government wrote to every nursing home operator on Wednesday warning they would be held to its latest vaccination deadline.
Along with any GP who visits a nursing home, the government says all staff need to have received at least one vaccine dose by 17 September.
“My Aged Care data indicate that over 63% of workers have received at least a first dose and over 43% are fully vaccinated,” Minister for Health Greg Hunt and Aged Care Services Minister Richard Colbeck wrote.
