Aus trial to probe microdosing with psychedelics

Australian researchers plan to investigate the pharmacological effect on the brain of microdosing with psychedelics in a first-of-its-kind neuroimaging study.
Microdosing has rapidly gained popularity since entering public awareness internationally about six years ago, according to the study’s lead investigator, cognitive science researcher Dr Vince Polito (PhD).
It involves taking very small amounts of psychedelic substances, like psilocybin or LSD — typically 0.1-0.2g only — which is about one-tenth of a recreational dose.
People who microdose typically do so every 3-4 days for several weeks or months.
