AusDoc is seeking a new clinical/deputy editor

We are looking for someone with a proven background in medical publishing and a sense of humour
Staff writer

AusDoc is looking to recruit a clinical/deputy editor to help lead our editorial team.

If any of our readers know of someone they believe would be suitable for the role, could you let them know they can submit an application (or obtain more information) by emailing: paul.smith@adg.com.au

The successful candidate needs a proven background in medical publishing: commissioning, editing and proofing content — from clinical news and features to editorials and education.

This means someone who knows the strengths and limitations of medical journal studies, particularly in guiding clinical decision-making in the real world.

In short, we want someone with the highest journalistic standards along with insight into the current clinical issues facing doctors.

Working with the editor, they will guide and manage AusDoc’s journalists and production staff, as well as our staff doctors and our social platform and community managers.

Attributes:

  • Calm under pressure, with the skills to nurture and inspire our award-winning editorial team
  • An imaginative, ‘can-do’ approach
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with a warm and friendly sense of humour

This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) at our Sydney office in the heart of the CBD.
