Aussie doctor says colleagues in Gaza have ‘no safe place to go’

Hundreds of doctors are trapped in Gaza and have abandoned their homes and Médecins Sans Frontières offices, an Australian ED specialist says.
Dr Natalie Thurtle, the former Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) medical co-ordinator for Palestine, says MSF offices had been sites of “relative safety” during the ongoing conflict, with around 300 MSF staff currently in Gaza.
“Doctors have been displaced from our office, they’re facing challenges finding drinking water, there’s no electricity, fuel is at a premium and running out,” Dr Thurtle tells 6minutes.
“There’s no safe place to gather now.”
