Australia secures its first mRNA vaccine factory

A deal which will see Moderna set up a facility at Monash University will prevent a repeat of last year's vaccine shortages, according to Anthony Albanese

Australia’s first mRNA vaccine production factory will be based at Monash University and produce up to 100 million vaccine doses a year.

It is being built by the drug company Moderna which will also set up its headquarters and a regional research centre in Victoria.
