Australian Doctor shortlisted for top publishing award

Australian Doctor has been shortlisted for Publication of the Year at the 2025 Mumbrella Publish Awards.

The awards were set up 30 years ago to celebrate excellence across the publishing industry.

Australian Doctor earned its place on the shortlist as a result of its journalism, strong design and, most importantly when it comes to hard end points, its engagement with its audience.

Over the past 12 months, we have covered everything from the government’s mass bulk-billing vision and the experiences of GPs prescribing medicinal cannabis to the Snowtown murders pathologist and the troubled lives of IMG surgeons trying to make it in Australia.

Having recently celebrated our 40th anniversary, we remain the largest independent medical publication in the country, with 61,000 doctors registered on the AusDoc website.

It is a team effort, and I want to thank all the staff at AusDoc: editorial, sales, marketing and our support staff.

I also want to thank our many contributors and you, the readers, who bring so much life and vibrancy to the publication.

The winners of the Mumbrella awards will be announced at a gala ceremony in Sydney next month.
