Baby girl has mini-puberty at four months old

Doctors have reported the case of a four-month-old girl who went through mini puberty, including regular bouts of bleeding accompanied by irritability and abdominal pain.
Born prematurely, at 26 weeks, tests also revealed the girl had an ovarian cyst and endometrial hyperplasia, doctors from Hospital Vila Franca de Xira, in Portugal, wrote in BMJ Case Reports.
“The child had a total of five episodes of vaginal bleeding, each lasting less than a week and almost all associated with irritability and abdominal pain,” they said.
“The intervals between episodes were approximately three weeks.”
