‘This is bad,’ says sleep-deprived respiratory specialist

A senior respiratory specialist has warned the thousands of COVID-19 cases being admitted every day are taking an “unprecedented” toll on doctors and nurses at NSW hospitals
Associate Professor Lucy Morgan says 6000 across the state staff were off work on Sunday as a result of coronavirus.
“In the short-term, that’s okay,” Professor Morgan, of Nepean and Concord hospitals, told reporters.
“But in the long-term — and it’s two years now — this is bad.
