Big Tobacco using pharma reps to promote nicotine vapes to GPs

Article 5.3 of the WHO’s convention on tobacco control states that member countries should protect public health policies from the “vested interests” of the tobacco industry.
Its injunction is no doubt uncontroversial.
Tobacco-related illness killed more people in the 20th century than the First and Second World Wars combined — an estimated 100 million.
The guidelines for article 5.3 also talk about the need to “reject” any partnerships with the tobacco industry and to ban any so-called “socially responsible” activities it seeks to carry out.
