Serum biomarkers may predict knee osteoarthritis at least eight years before radiographic abnormalities, a study shows.

After analysing blood tests of 200 UK women, half diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis (OA) and half without, US researchers discovered six peptides that accurately distinguished the women with OA from those without it.
