Qld pharmacists have started independently diagnosing and prescribing for 17 conditions

The Queensland Government’s pharmacy prescribing experiment is finally a reality.
Pharmacists in the pilot confirmed on Wednesday morning that the State Government had given them the green light to start offering independent diagnosis and treatment of up to 17 conditions.
These include shingles, obesity, impetigo and acute otitis media (see full list below).
Ten pharmacists at six pharmacies are approved to treat patients in the pilot so far, according to Queensland Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Shannon Fentiman.
