GP telehealth company InstantScripts, which offers $15 text-based consults for script renewal, has been sold for $135 million.

The five-year-old company has accepted a takeover offer from Australian Pharmaceutical Industries, a subsidiary of Wesfarmers, which owns Bunnings, Kmart and the pharmacy chain Priceline.

“We’re incredibly proud of the business we’ve built at InstantScripts and the bright future it will have in Wesfarmers’ health division,” says InstantScripts founder Dr Asher Freilich.

Dr Freilich will not remain involved with InstantScripts after the sale is wrapped up.
