Women in healthcare occupations endure a significantly higher level of stress and burnout than men, in part owing to challenges in balancing family and work life, a review shows.
US researchers examined wellbeing among women working in healthcare in a comprehensive literature review which included 71 studies in 26 countries between 1979 and 2022.
