Patients affected by bushfires will be able to claim up to 10 MBS-funded psychological treatment sessions a year without a GP referral, under the Federal Government’s response to the ongoing crisis.

The aim is to address the mental health effects of the unprecedented bushfire season — now being dubbed the Black Summer — which has claimed 27 lives, more than 2000 homes and at least 10 million hectares of land.
