Call for protest exclusion zones around hospitals after Melbourne anti-vax rally

A leading emergency doctor is calling for exclusion zones around hospitals to keep patients and clinical staff safe after anti-vaxxers targeted a children’s hospital in Melbourne over the weekend.
Dr Stephen Parnis is urging government action on protests that “cross a line” after 200 anti-vaxxers blockaded Flemington Road outside the Royal Children’s Hospital on Saturday.
During the rally Victoria Police had to help patients, family and staff enter and leave the hospital.
Dr Parnis was not present when the rally occurred, but he told 6minutes many colleagues had been left with a “very bitter taste in their mouths”.
