Leading anaesthetist Dr Suzi Nou is calling for an urgent investigation into how an anaesthetist contracted COVID-19 at a Sydney hospital, saying confidence in protocols have been “shaken” by the news.
The doctor contracted the disease while attending patients at Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals in Sydney’s south west, testing positive last week, says Dr Nou, president of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA).
