A cannabis company has taken over high-profile GP telehealth corporate Doctors on Demand, with a pledge to start filling prescriptions online as part of “end-to-end” care.

Doctors on Demand, founded in 2015, claims to provide up to 1040 consultations a day over video and has sold itself on 24/7 access to GP care.

Patients pay $60 to consult one of its 120-odd doctors between 8am and 6pm on weekdays or $90 at other times, on weekends or on public holidays.

Vitura Health, which owns the telehealth cannabis clinics Cannadoc and CDA Clinics, announced a $25 million takeover on 19 October.
