Cervical campaign savaged after calling for pictures of ‘cats that look like your vulva’

The company behind a GP booking app has been slammed on social media after asking UK women to share photos of cats with fur that reflect their vulva’s ‘current look’ as part of a cervical screening campaign.
The myGP app allows patients to book consults, order scripts and check their medical records.
Its campaign — called ‘Bushy, bare or halfway there’ — had been put together after myGP research suggested three in five women using professional waxing services had avoided their screening appointment because they were not “perfectly preened” at the time.
“Share an image of the cat that best reflects your undercarriage/flower/bits (technical term vulva!),” it said, suggesting women use the hashtag #myCat.
